travel north america united states oregon carl g washburne memorial state park

Carl G Washburne Memorial State Park is just north of Heceta Head and about thirteen miles south of Yachats on the central Oregon coast.
The park includes a campground on the east side of Highway 101 and a day-use beach area on the west side.
There is a beautiful white sand beach here that runs south to the north side of Haceta Head where there is a beach access known as the "Hobbit Hole."
Expecially in the off season, this is a beautiful place for a long peaceful walk.
The main day use area features picnic tables and a restroom/dressingroom along with beach accesses.
